Match Report
Walthamstow Hall Girls-U13A vs  National Schools
On: Tuesday, 05 Mar 2019
Venue: Away

The excitement of the U13s first nationals was evident from the minute they stepped foot in the Hub on Tuesday morning. Wally got off to a great start in their matches, drawing 3-3 with Godolphin (a team who got as far as the quarter finals), but fell 4-1 and 5-1 to strong opposition in St Catherine’s and Wycombe Abbey.

The girls rallied back to secure a 2-2 draw with Westonbirt School, and finished the day by beating St George’s Ascot 7-2, displaying some excellent settled play in attack and patient defending. The 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses resulted in the girls finishing 4th in their group, which was not quite enough to see them qualify for the knockout rounds.

Well done to all of the U13s, we hope they thoroughly enjoyed their day!
